SMS Privacy Policy.

Tactis, LLC ("Tactis," "we," "us," or "our") respects the privacy of our employees and contractors who participate in the Tactis Employee & Contractor SMS Communications program. This SMS Privacy Policy explains how Tactis collects, uses, and protects information associated with this program.

This policy applies specifically to SMS/text messaging used by Tactis for internal employee and contractor communications and supplements any other privacy notices or policies that may apply to Tactis employees and contractors.
 

Information We Collect

When an employee or contractor participates in the Tactis SMS program, Tactis may collect and maintain information including:

  • Name and mobile telephone number;
  • Employee or contractor identification information;
  • SMS opt-in and opt-out status and related consent records;
  • Date and time associated with consent or withdrawal of consent;
  • Text messages sent to or received from Tactis;
  • Information voluntarily provided through SMS communications; and
  • Information associated with Human Resources, absence notifications, IT support requests, or other internal support matters initiated or handled through SMS.
     
How We Use SMS Information

Tactis uses SMS information to provide internal support and communications to existing Tactis employees and contractors.

SMS communications may be used for purposes including:

  • Human Resources communications;
  • Employee absence and attendance notifications;
  • Responses to employment-related inquiries;
  • IT, system, account, software, and hardware support;
  • Responses to employee or contractor support requests; and
  • Administrative communications related to the employee's or contractor's relationship with Tactis.

The Tactis Employee & Contractor SMS Communications program is not used to send marketing or promotional messages.
 

SMS Consent

Tactis obtains consent to send SMS messages through its authenticated Human Resources Information System ("HRIS") or another authorized consent process.

Employees and contractors who opt in are presented with information describing the SMS program and voluntarily indicate their agreement to receive text messages from Tactis at the mobile telephone number they provide.

Participation in the Tactis SMS program is voluntary. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of employment or engagement with Tactis.
 

Sharing of Mobile Information

Tactis does not sell, rent, or share mobile telephone numbers, SMS opt-in information, or SMS consent information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Information associated with the SMS program may be disclosed to service providers that assist Tactis in operating and delivering the SMS program, such as telecommunications, messaging, HRIS, and support-platform providers. Such information is provided only as necessary to support Tactis's business operations and delivery of the SMS program and is not provided to those parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

Tactis may also disclose information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or when otherwise permitted by applicable law.
 

SMS Service Providers

Tactis may use third-party service providers to facilitate SMS communications. These providers may process mobile telephone numbers, message content, delivery information, and related technical information on Tactis's behalf as necessary to provide messaging services.
 

Data Security and Retention

Tactis maintains reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information collected through the SMS program.

SMS information and consent records may be retained as reasonably necessary to administer the program, maintain business and employment records, satisfy legal or regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce applicable agreements and policies.
 

Opting Out

Employees and contractors may withdraw consent to receive SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to a Tactis SMS message.

After an opt-out request is processed, Tactis will discontinue SMS messages to that mobile number through the applicable program except as necessary to confirm the opt-out or as otherwise permitted by law.

Employees and contractors may subsequently opt in again through an authorized Tactis opt-in process.

Changes to This Policy
